Breaking: Ousmane Dembele crowned 2025 Men’s Ballon d'Or winner

🏆 The Win & Ceremony

  • The 69th Ballon d’Or ceremony took place on September 22, 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
  • Dembélé, playing for Paris Saint‑Germain (PSG), was awarded the men’s Ballon d’Or, edging out Lamine Yamal (2nd) and Vitinha (3rd).
  • He became the sixth Frenchman ever to win the award, following Raymond Kopa, Michel Platini, Jean-Pierre Papin, Zinedine Zidane, and Karim Benzema.
  • In his speech, Dembélé expressed strong emotion, thanking his family (especially his mother), coaches, teammates, and reflecting on how special it was to receive the trophy from a legend like Ronaldinho.
  • He also acknowledged that while it’s an individual award, the success was collective — crediting coaches, staff, and teammates.

👑 Why He Won — Season Performance & Statistics

Club Success & Titles

  • His contributions helped PSG secure their first ever UEFA Champions League crown, a watershed moment for the club.
  • In addition to the UCL, PSG also won Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and other domestic trophies during the season, making it a dominant campaign.

Individual Output & Metrics

  • According to The Analyst / Opta data, Dembélé had 33 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.
  • Among forwards from Europe’s top five leagues, he led in non‑penalty goals per 90 minutes (1.07) and shots (5.3).
  • His form was especially impressive from January onward: 25 goals and 8 assists in 29 matches in all competitions.
  • He was heavily involved in key matches. For instance, in the Champions League final, he provided two assists, becoming the first player since Marcelo in 2018 to set up two goals in a UCL final.
  • Over the whole 2024–25 season, his goal involvements (goals + assists) were 46 — more than twice his previous best total.

⏺️ Other Contenders & Full Rankings

     • Team of the Season, Club Awards, etc., also featured in the ceremony.

📰 Reactions, Context & Significance

  • Many analysts praised Dembélé’s win as a redemption arc — previously criticized for inconsistency, he delivered when it mattered most.
  • There was debate about Yamal narrowly missing out, given his meteoric rise and consistency for his age; some viewed the decision as controversial.
  • The Guardian described the presentation and surrounding culture of the Ballon d’Or as “toxic theater,” but noted that Dembélé’s human story offered a counter‑narrative of meaning.
  • Many saw the win as a signal: longevity, resilience, and timing still find reward in world football, even in an age obsessed with youth and hype.

Virat Kohli: From Struggle to Stardom

👑KING KOHLI 👑

-----A legend of the game, a warrior at heart, Virat Kohli, you've played an unforgettable part. With passion and pride, you wore the blue, Now it's time for a rest, well-earned and true.---

Virat Kohli: From Struggle to Stardom

Born on November 5, 1988, in Delhi, Virat Kohli grew up in a modest Punjabi family. His love for cricket was evident from a very young age. At just 9 years old, he joined the West Delhi Cricket Academy, where he began training under coach Rajkumar Sharma. But Virat’s path was never easy.

He wasn’t the tallest, strongest, or most naturally gifted kid in his academy, but what set him apart was his unbreakable determination. Every morning, he’d wake up before sunrise, travel long distances, and train for hours — often skipping meals and sleep.

A Tragedy That Defined His Spirit

In 2006, while playing a Ranji Trophy match for Delhi, tragedy struck. Virat's father, Prem Kohli, passed away overnight due to a stroke. Most people would have crumbled under such loss.

But not Virat.

The very next day, he walked out to bat — with tears in his eyes and fire in his heart — and scored 90 runs, saving his team from defeat. He attended his father’s funeral only after completing his innings.

That day, India didn’t just witness a batsman. It witnessed a warrior.

---

Climbing the Ranks

Virat soon rose through the ranks — captaining India to victory in the 2008 U-19 World Cup. But when he joined the senior Indian team, many doubted his place. Critics called him aggressive, immature, and unfit for international cricket.

But Virat responded not with words, but with runs — hundreds after hundreds, against the best teams, in the toughest conditions. He changed his diet, trained like an athlete, and set new fitness standards in Indian cricket.

---

The King of Modern Cricket

Today, Virat Kohli is not just a player — he's a symbol of dedication, grit, and discipline. He’s broken countless records, led India with pride, and inspired millions across the globe.

His journey from a small boy in Delhi to the "King of Cricket" is a testament to one truth:

> Success comes to those who never give up — even when the world expects them to.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

🌿✨The stadiums will miss your mighty roar, But your legacy will live forevermore. Thank you, King Kohli, for all you've done, Cricket's not the same without its son.✨🌿
